Brooklyn, NY, November 21, 2022 - Veteran staffer, Emily Nobumoto has been named Partner and COO at Leesta Vall Sound Recordings. The move comes as part of a restructuring of leadership within the company.
Founder Aaron Zimmer, who developed the label’s niche premise of one-to-one hand made vinyl recordings and grew the label to a staff of 8 alongside a fully analog recording studio located in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn, has stepped down as head of operations to focus on other entrepreneurial endeavors, family, and local politics in his hometown of Brookfield, CT.
“Emily has been with me since almost the beginning.” Said Zimmer of the change in leadership. “We built several label initiatives together, and she has executed them flawlessly for years. She has earned an opportunity to lead the company, and I’m excited to see where she’ll take us.”
Zimmer remains involved with the company, but in a limited capacity.
Nobumoto came to Leesta Vall in 2018 as a college intern. Her curiosity and desire to learn led her through the ranks and she quickly secured a full time leadership position managing Artist Relations. In her new role, she’ll see this work continued along with global operational oversight to carry the brand forward.
