The amazing Billy Woodward was in to log our 81st Direct-To Vinyl Office Session. Billy draws inspiration from 50's and 60's rock, blues and soul. And though those genres are clearly referenced in his writing. But, there's this wonderful tinge of gypsy steampunk in his vocal performances that make Billy Woodward something really special.
For Billy's session, we cut a few takes of four different songs for a grand total of 13 cuts. Each of these performances were cut directly to a 7" vinyl record and only one copy of each exists in the world.
Our limited edition lathe cut record releases are made on a modified antique record cutting lathe from the 1950's. Each record is handmade, one at a time, in real time, by a real person.
